Listed building and conservation applications and appeals

Listed buildings or buildings within conservation areas are subject to greater restrictions and regulations. At Get Approval, we speak to conservation officers, monitor local and national planning policies and adapt proposals to suit. We are able to quickly identify restrictions that affect the feasibility of developing buildings that have conservation restrictions. This enables us to advise clients accordingly and come up with proposals that are sensitive to existing buildings and the surrounding environment.

Discharge of planning conditions

The vast majority of successful planning applications are granted with conditions. In some instances, you may wish to appeal conditions that have been unreasonably attached by your local authority and in other instances you may need to discharge a condition once it has been satisfied.

At Get Approval, we are able to give you advice or manage the application or appeals process on your behalf. What may be complex and confusing for some is day-to-day business for us. Lawful development certificates image

Lawful development certificates

Some development in England is allowed under permitted development rules and do not require formal planning approval. If you have undertaken a small development or changed the use of your building but are uncertain if it is lawful or not, feel free to contact us for an opinion.

Some clients need a lawful development certificate (LDC) where they are selling a property but have no proof a previous development or change of use has been undertaken lawfully. We can help you apply for an LDC by submitting an application with all supporting evidence on your behalf. Once granted, an LDC will give you and any interested parties peace of mind.
